EXP TV is the creative team behind a streaming channel launching this fall, including Taylor C. Rowley (a KXLU DJ, music supervisor, and film programmer), Cut Chemist's VJ Tom Fitzgerald, and music video director Marcus Herring. We're a group of music and video heads and we love to mix the two at any opportunity. Blank City has hosted one-off film screenings in the past but this is our first collaboration with them and the first year they've done it during Echo Park Rising. We're excited to present three days of programming that represents and celebrates the diverse range of artists who will be playing that weekend. Throughout the video party you’ll see a sneak peak of the channel, video mixes celebrating a wide range of beloved genres featuring performances by reigning dancehall queen Sister Nancy, outlaw country troubadour Merle Haggard, 90s club legends Deee-lite, Persian pop princess Googoosh, flirty French chanteuse Jane Birkin, electro pioneer Giorgio Moroder and Minnesota metalheads Impaler, and tons more. Feature films complementing our original video mixes, although we technically can’t publicize them, will be sprinkled throughout each day!
