Perfume is the solo project of Matthew James, a Los Angeles based artist and musician. Perfume blends poppy synth hooks with primitive lo-fi drum beats and snarling guitars to create songs that meld genres from aggressive post punk and dark synth pop to minimal house and experimental. Often paired with mesmerizing visuals projected over him, the live performance is expressive, engaging and not to be missed.
