Livingmore

Los Angeles band Livingmore have emerged with their debut record, Ok To Land. The band originated with songwriters Alex Moore and Spencer Livingston when they met through mutual friends in 2014. They with the help of Mike Schadel on drums and now Rodrigo Moreno on bass who has joined the band since Bryan Dobbs' departure in 2017, are the current make-up of Livingmore. Taking cues from several genres, with influences such as Garbage, The Kinks, Roy Orbison and Belle and Sebastian, Moore and Livingston write dreamy, alternative, or just straight up rock n Roll songs that sound like a mixture of Blondie and The Everly Brothers. “We never really plan when we’re going to write, we just wait for it to happen" explain Moore and Livingston. Each song has a totally organic approach - sometimes born from Livingston playing a melody and Moore composing accompanying lyrics on the spot; other times with both of them writing songs separately and meeting somewhere in the middle. Their First full length album "Ok To Land" was recorded at Kingsize Soundlabs in Eagle Rock, CA and produced by Brian Rosemeyer who discovered the band at LA's Echo Park Rising festival in 2016. The record has since had an indie hit with the song ‘Really Mean It’. The popular tune is accompanied by an animated stop motion video created by Moore’s brother, Dillon. “We really just wanted to make a video that was totally organic and back to basics but at the same time unique and fresh. That’s kind of what this band is really about when you get down to it” Livingston explains.

The band has thus far toured around The United States and recently played in Austin, TX for the SXSW music festival. They are currently tracking more new material at their own studio/rehearsal space and are constantly touring.
